Clifford Dale Romuld Clifford Dale Romuld, 74, of Grand Forks, died on Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Dale was born June 20, 1935 in Preeceville, Sask., Canada. His family moved to Hoople, ND in 1952 where he met his future wife, Beverly Bergman. Dale and Beverly were married June 6, 1956 in Hoople, ND. Dale served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1961, and became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1959. Dale and Beverly settled in Grand Forks, ND, where he established a successful commercial and residential contracting business, Romuld Construction, a Grand Forks employer for nearly 40 years. He is survived by daughters Cheryl Birkeland (David) of Devils Lake, ND, Barbara Johnson of Woodbury, MN, sons Fred Romuld (Pam Neppel) and Kevin Romuld of Grand Forks, brothers William Romuld of Grand Forks, and Howard Romuld of East Grand Forks, MN. Dale is survived by six grandsons: Evan Romuld, Matthew Romuld, and Jacob Birkeland of Grand Forks, ND and Andrew Birkeland, Ryan Johnson, and Kyle Johnson of Woodbury, MN. He was preceded in death by wife of 38 years, Beverly Bergman Romuld (1994), daughter Debbie Lynn Romuld (1956), mother Caroline Romuld, and father Clifford O. Romuld. Funeral Services: will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks, ND. Visitation: will one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
