Kim S. Cummings, 50, Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, October 3, 2009 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Kimberly Sue Cummings was born March 28, 1959 in Langdon, ND the daughter of Gerald and Ida (Schultz) Cummings. She attended school in Tioga, ND and graduated from high school in Alamo, ND in 1977. Kim lived in West Fargo, ND and Williston, ND before moving to Grand Forks in 1986. Kim worked as a cook at the Big Sioux Truck Stop and later owned and operated the Thompson Café. She also worked as a cook at Parkwood Place in Grand Forks. Kim loved the outdoors including camping, hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed painting and art. She was an animal lover and adored her dogs; Nicky, Mandy, Itty Bit, J.J. and Ozzy. Survivors include her sisters, Mary (Gregg) Otteson and Rogene Ginsbach, both of Grand Forks; nephew, Zack Otteson, Grand Forks; niece, Tiffany Otteson, Grand Forks and a great niece, Mataeya Otteson. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, by a brother, Robert Cummings and by many aunts and uncles. At Kim's request, there will be no services.
