Marguerite Elaine Kleven, age 93, resident of Brainerd MN, formerly of Grand Forks, ND, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Edgewood Vista Retirement Home in Brainerd, MN. She was born September 24, 1916 in Crookston, MN, the eldest child of Zella and Carl Gronberg Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton L. Kleven, sister Helen (Mrs. George Peterson. Appleton, WI.), and brother, Carl Gronberg of Climax, MN. Marguerite's joyful spirit and love of the Lord was enjoyed by all with whom she so generously shared her life. She was fun-loving and always full of vim and vigor. She believed strongly in working hard and started each day by quoting Psalm 118:24 "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." Marguerite is survived, loved and greatly missed by: daughter Zaundra Cowger and her husband Richard, grandchildren Lisa M. Cowger Drake and husband Edward, and Michael Evan Cowger, great grand children Jonathon Edward Heikkenen, Sophia Elise Marguerite Drake, and Zella Ruth Drake, and her dear friend and 'constant companion',Shirley Lewis. She is also survived by one sister Mrs. Kermit (Amy) Christianson, brother Wallace Gronberg and his wife Patricia and sister-in-law Mrs. Carl (Lurlene) Gronberg along with many more loving nieces and nephews, cousins and a wealth of friends, all of whom have experienced and benefited from the positive influence of this little lady.
