Patricia Bloomquist

Patricia "Pat" Marlene (Nubson) Bloomquist, 75, died Monday, October 12, 2009 at her home in Grand Forks. Patricia was born on February 12, 1934 to Henry and Myrtle (Olson) Nubson in Greenbush, Minnesota. After finishing school in Greenbush she went on to nursing school at Grand Forks Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated with an RN in 1955. On August 25, 1956 she married Roger Joseph Bloomquist in Greenbush MN. Patricia practiced nursing in Bemidji MN, Greenbush MN, Superior, WI and Grand Forks ND. Patricia enjoyed quilting, crafting, reading mystery novels, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time "at the lake" both at Cass Lake, MN, and on Kimble Lake MN. She is survived by her children, Connie (Roger) Weber, Andover, MN, Brian (Stefanie) Bloomquist Covington, WA, Cindy (Dale) Branch, Grand Forks, ND, and Kevin (Joy) Bloomquist Grand Forks, ND. Her grandchildren; Erin, Brenna, Hannah, Jacob, Amber, Tylor, Ben, and Noah, and 5 great-grand children; siblings, Henry C. (Gerry) Nubson, Greenbush, MN, Nola Wallace, Gillette, WY, Vernette (William) Moravek, The Villages, FL; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger, sister Renee and brother-in-law Donald Wallace. At her request her body was donated to the University of North Dakota Medical School, as was her husband, Roger. **In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Lutheran Radio Ministries c/o United Lutheran Church 324 Chestnut St. Grand Forks, ND 58201.
