Doug was employed as Northwood City Auditor from 1961-1971, and as the Grand Forks County Director of Tax Equalization from 1971-1997. After the flood of 1997, he worked in the Grand Forks City Assessor's Office for three years. He was made a life member of the Northwood Fire Department after having served for over 25 years.
