David B. Renwick, 71, Grand Forks, ND died Thursday, November 12, 2009, surrounded by his family in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks . David was born November 3, 1938 in near Cavalier, ND the son of Esau and Agnes "Marie" (Dickey) Renwick. He was raised and educated near Cavalier, ND. He moved to Detroit, MI and attended mechanical trade school. He returned to Grand Forks and worked as a truck driver for several area trucking companies including Valley Contracting, Swingen Construction, E. W. Wylie and Minn-Dak Seeds. He also worked at the Grand Forks Senior Center. David loved time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was well known for his sense of humor and could make light of any situation. David found it hard to sit still so he was always tinkering with something. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and keeping his yard immaculate. He also enjoyed feeding and watching birds. David married Una Mae Bartlette on December 24, 1959 at Crookston, MN. She survives along with a son, Kim, Grand Forks; daughters, Terri Mathias, Manvel, ND and Marnie (Dakotah) Renwick-Martin, East Grand Forks, MN; grandchildren, Mandy Mathias, Brandon Renwick, Kayelyn Renwick-Martin and Koleten Renwick-Martin; his mother, Marie Renwick, Cavalier, ND; brother, Phillip (Linda) Renwick, Neche, ND; sisters, Mary Ellen Renwick and Jean Renwick both of Cavalier, ND David was preceded in death by his father and a grandson, Shilo Mathias.
