Marjorie M. Haney, 91, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away, Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND. Marjorie was born December 3, 1917, in Chaska, MN, the daughter of Paul and Augusta (Roepke) Hasenbush. She grew up and attended school in Red Wing. Marjorie married Clarence Hartwig, Sr. in 1941. They moved to East Grand Forks in 1958. They had a son, Clark Hartwig, in 1944. Marjorie worked as a clerk at Piggly Wiggly and Farmsco Oil for numerous years. Clarence Sr died in 1984. Marjorie married Wallace Haney on February 7, 1987 at First Lutheran Church in EGF, MN. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining guests, and vacationing in Hawaii. She was a member of the GF DAV Women's Auxiliary Post # 2, where she was Post Commander for the years of 1992 and 1997. She was also a member of the EGF VFW Women's Auxiliary Post # 3817, and worked at the VFW serving fish on Friday nights. Marjorie was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. Marjorie is survived by her husband, Wallace Haney; step-children, Clarence and David (Mary) Hartwig, Sharon Lais, Juanita (Walter)Kram, Vicki Haney, Barbara Phillips; Grandchildren, great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Clarence; son Clark and her sisters and brother. **In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to: DAV Auxiliary Post # 2 or VFW Auxiliary Post # 3817 FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 17, at First Lutheran Church, East Grand Forks. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 pm with a 6:30 pm prayer service on Monday, November 16, 2009, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will continue for the hour prior to the funeral at the church. INTERMENT: Memorial Park South Cemetery.
