Malinda Backman

Malinda Faye Backman, 59, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Valley Memorial Home Eldercare of Grand Forks, ND. Malinda Anton was born January 21, 1950 in Cando, ND the daughter of Donald and Bertha (Wymore) Anton. She was raised in Rock Lake, ND, but also lived in Blaine, WA for a short time before returning to Rock Lake where she graduated from High School in 1968. She attended college at Bottineau, ND and Grand Forks, ND. Malinda lived in Minneapolis, MN for a short time, then returned to Grand Forks where she worked in the Deli of Hugo's and later Wal Mart. Survivors include her daughter, LeeAnn, Backman, Fargo, ND; brothers, James (Shirley) Anton, Kingston, WA and Jerry (Cora) Anton, Grand Forks, ND; several nieces and nephews. Malinda was preceded in death by her parents and by sisters, Thelma and Catherine
