Barbara Dixon

Barbara Henry Dixon, 75, of Grand Forks, ND passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Barbara E. Henry was born November 28, 1934 in Woodsville, New Hampshire, the daughter of Martin and Dorothy (Judd) Henry. She grew up and graduated from high school in the Boston Area. She married Donald B. Dixon on April 10, 1955 in Roxbury, MA. Barbara was a homemaker and raised her 4 children. She also worked as a Certifed Nursing Assistant in Grand Forks at the Deaconess and United Hospitals. Barbara is survived by: Daughter: Cheryl (Jerry) Loiland - Grand Forks, ND. Sons: Donald Jr. (Barbara) Dixon - Burnsville, MN. Scott (Kristen) Dixon - Bolingbrook, Ill. Daughter-in-law: Karen Dixon - Joliet, Ill. Sisters: Jean Fernandez - Revere, MA. Joyce (Melvin) Young - Brooklyn Park, MN. Grandchildren: Bradley (Amanda) Loiland, Daniel (Julie) Loiland, Janis (Jason) Whitesock, Kevin (Lindsey) Dixon, Ashley Dixon and Stephen Dixon. 4 Great Grandchildren Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald and son Bruce Dixon.
