Fern Bergh

Fern Bergh, 88, Grand Forks, died Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Maple View Memory Care Community, Grand Forks. Fern Harriet Danielson was born to Peter and Borghild Danielson on February 19, 1921 at Perley, Minnesota. She was confirmed at Bethania Lutheran Church at Perley, and later graduated from Borup, MN High School. She was employed for several years at the Erickson General Store at Perley. Fern and Malcom "Mike" Bergh were united in marriage on June 9, 1946 at Perley, Minnesota. They resided in the Fargo-Moorhead area until moving to Grand Forks in 1959. She is survived by her children, Melody (Jerry) Schefter, Grand Forks, and Jeffrey Bergh, Bemidji, MN; grandchildren, Angie (Tim) Fontaine, Grand Forks, Jamie Schefter, Missoula, MT; great-grandchildren, Chasie Fontaine and Brandon Fontaine; a brother, Henry (Marie) Danielson, Moorhead, MN; a sister, Phyllis (Clifford) Lieseth, Moorhead. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Malcolm on June 14, 2005, infant siblings, Oliver and Alma; a sister Alice Kinsella, a brother, Howard Danielson; special aunt Josephine. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S. 9th St., Grand Forks. Visitation: will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Interment: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
