Beverly J. Halvorson, 66, Grand Forks, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Meritcare Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota. Beverly Jean Jorgenson was born May 10, 1943 to Otto and Alvina (Thompson) Jorgenson in Grafton, North Dakota. She was raised and educated at Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School. She was employed by the Walsh County Record in Grafton. Beverly and Larry Halvorson were united in marriage on September 6, 1969 at Grafton. They made their home in Grand Forks following their marriage. Her husband, Larry died March 5, 1986. Beverly was employed locally by Kedney-Allied for 29 years, and presently by Weivoda Carpet. She enjoyed listening to and watching sports, the Twins, Vikings, and UND Sioux games. Beverly is survived by: a sister, Lana Jorgenson, Fargo; a brother-in-law, Dennis Weaver, Fargo; nephews, Douglas (Shannon) Weaver, Plymouth, Minnesota and Jason (Barbara) Weaver, Bismarck, North Dakota; and a niece, Alyssa (Chad) Johnson, Glyndon, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by per parents, her husband, and a sister, Sandra Weaver. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S. 9th St., Grand Forks. Visitation: will be for the hour prior to the service in the church. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks.
