Berget (Sannes) Amble, 96, Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley and caregiver Laura Sandahl. Berget Sannes was born December 6, 1913 in Thompson, North Dakota, the daughter of Andrew and Nora (Anderson) Sannes. She lived in Walle Township as a child. She attended school in Thompson, North Dakota. She married Adolph Amble on November 22, 1935 in Grand Forks. They were married for nearly 71 years until his death in July, 2006. They lived and farmed in the Thompson area until 1948 when they moved to Grand Forks. Berget was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed cooking and doing work around the house. She enjoyed going for rides in the countryside where she grew up as a child. Berget is survived by her son; Alvis Amble of Grand Forks, and many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Adolph, brother Ernest Sannes; sisters, Alma Austreng, Viola Tweten, Thelma Tweten, and Dora Sannes. The family has requested that memorials in Berget's memory be given to Walle Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
