Joan Call

Joan E. Call, 83, Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Joan Elizabeth Weihing was born August 9, 1926 in Rocky Ford, CO the daughter of Henry and Callie (Krull) Weihing. She was raised and educated in Rocky Ford then attended Colorado State University at Ft. Collins. Joan married Roscoe Call, Jr. on March 2, 1946. They lived in Rocky Ford, CO, Manzanola, CO and Ulysses, KS where Joan worked at Southwest Savings and Loan. They moved to Grand Forks, ND then lived in California and Hillsboro, ND before returning to Grand Forks. Joan very much enjoyed music and playing her violin. She also had a talent for art. Survivors include sons, Jerry (Frances Ann) Call, Lincoln, NE, Jack (Kathleen) Call, Grand Forks and Patrick (Karen) Call, Haven, KS; grandchildren, Cory, Nathan, Garrett and Joshua; great grandchildren, Elijah, Alex, Graham, Kairie and Colin. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe; her parents; 6 brothers and 1 sister. Memorials: The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers
