Frances Plaas

Frances C. Plaas, 96, Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, May 01, 2010 in Parkwood Place of Grand Forks. Frances was born June 22, 1913 in Bartlett, ND the daughter of Joe and Hazel Clark. She graduated from Larimore High School in 1931 and the University of Minnesota in 1935 as a Medical Technologist. Frances married George Plaas June 22, 1940 in Larimore, ND. They lived in Grand Forks and were the parents of three children. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Grand Forks. George Plaas died May 12, 1979. Survivors include sons, George (Linda) Plaas III, Victorville, CA, Jon (Joanne) Plaas, Lee's Summit, MO; daughter, JoAnn (Leo) Boudreau, Framingham, MA; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Dorothy Pickard. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery of Grand Forks. Memorials: in lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be directed to The Salvation Army, Wesley United Methodist Church or Parkwood Place.
