Edna F. Branvold

Edna Branvold, 93, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 4000 Valley Square Woodside Village in Grand Forks. Edna was born October 31, 1916, the daughter of Howard and Anga (Spoonheim) Sherven. The family moved to Grand Forks in 1925. She graduated from Central High School and Union Commercial College. Edna married Nordean Branvold on November 6, 1942 in Grand Forks. Nordean passed away December 22, 1964. Edna was employed for 17 years at the Weisser Loan Company and was the bookkeeper for the Westward Ho Motel for 16 years until her retirement in 1984. She is survived by a step-son; James Branvold of Eugene, OR; six step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren and her special friends, Fred Carlson and Patsy Bjoralt of Grand Forks. She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-son Walter Branvold; step-daughter, Betty Branvold and a step-granddaughter. FUNERAL SERVICES: 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral at Amundson's. INTERMENT: Memorial Park Cemetery of Grand Forks.
