Gladys Buck

Gladys B. Buck, 104, Grand Forks, ND died Monday, June 14, 2010 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Gladys B. Laidley was born February 3, 1906 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Thomas and Edith Laidley. She grew up and attended school in Turtle River Township near Manvel, ND. Gladys married Peter N. Buck on June 22, 1927 in Grand Forks. They lived and farmed in the Manvel, ND area until Peter's death in 1961. Gladys has lived in Grand Forks since 1965. Gladys enjoyed reading and crocheting. Survivors include her daughters, Janice Buck, Grand Forks, ND and Phyllis (Robert) Bjerke, Devils Lake, ND' grandchildren, Barbara (Kermit) Bakke, Northwood, ND, Boyd Bjerke, Evansville, WY and Marvin Bjerke, Evansville, WY. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, her parents and by her sisters, Nettie Wendt and Dorothy Hoverson.
