Raymond Teigen

Raymond W. Teigen, 83, Grand Forks, ND died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in Valley Memorial Home Eldercare, Grand Forks. Raymond Walter Teigen was born October 8, 1926 in Pelican Rapids, MN the son of Helge and Hilda (Sanden) Teigen. He was raised and educated in Pelican Rapids then graduated from Dakota Business College in Fargo, ND. Raymond married Lucille Senn on September 24, 1949 in Pelican Rapids. Raymond worked at First National Bank of Moorhead, MN. He later moved to Grand Forks where he worked for Valley Bank for 27 years before retiring as Vice President. Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, wood working, playing cards and square dancing. He and Lucille spent winter months in Oxnard and Monterey, CA. Survivors include his wife, Lucille; children, Jeannie (Dale) Sollom, Grand Forks, Bruce (Pat) Teigen, Monterey, CA, Pam (Rich) Rising, Grand Forks and Kristen (Ashraful) Islam, Oxnard, CA; grandchildren, Jason (Angie), Dan (Jenni) and Stephen (Melissa) Sollom; Jillian (Tom) Bruno and Geoffrey Teigen; Rachel and Jared Rising; Summeya, Atiyyah, Aaminah and Saadiyah Islam; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Alice (Melvin) Harms, Alexandria, MN; brother DuWayne (Wilma) Teigen, Pelican Rapids, MN; sister-in-law, Eleanor Teigen, Moorhead, MN and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Stena Teigen; grandson, Cody Rising and a brother, Kermit. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, July 10, 2010 in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S. 9th St. Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for one hour before the service in the church.
