Mark Paul Jones

Mark Paul Jones, 55, Grand Forks, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Altru Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Mark was born to M/Sgt. Jack and Ruth (Christiansen) Jones on September 7, 1954 at Fargo, North Dakota. Mark was raised in Grand Forks where he lived throughout his life. Mark was a friendly and familiar face around Grand Forks. He loved biking, children, animals and Sioux Hockey! Mark adored his church and community of faith. Mark will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mark is survived by his mother, Ruth, Grand Forks; aunt and uncle, Melvin and Donna Leek; cousins, Debbie, Tim, Linda, Todd, and extended family Jo and Jenalee. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Paul and Mildred Theis; and cousin Thomas Leek. Funeral Services: will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 in Augustana Lutheran Church, 520 University Ave., Grand Forks. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment: Bequeathal to University of North Dakota School of Medicine
