Jane Diane Toews

Jane D. Toews, 70, of Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, July 31, 2010 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, with her family by her side. Jane Diane Peters was born September 28, 1939 in Hampden, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Verna Peters. She attended school in Hampden. She married Marlin Toews of Alsen, North Dakota on August 23, 1957 in Hampden. They worked on farms until 1966 when they moved to Grand Forks. She worked at Valley Memorial Home, Hugo's, Charlie's Bakery and Comfort Inn. She is survived by her husband, Marlin Toews; sons, Lynn, and Don; and a daughter, Lori, all of Grand Forks; a sister, June Wilhelmi, Minneapolis, MN, and a brother, Rodney Peters, Thompson, ND; two grandchildren, Casey Lynn Toews and Jesse Mendoza; and three great-grandchildren. Jane is preceded in death by her father, Henry "Dutch" Peters, and her mother, Verna Peters. There will be no funeral services.
