Roy Dennis Pierson

Roy D. Pierson, 65, died on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at his home in Reynolds. Roy Dennis Pierson was born February 20, 1945, in Grand Forks, the son of Arthur & Helen Pierson of Fordville, ND. Roy was baptized and confirmed at the Elk Valley Church in rural McCanna, ND. He attended school at Fordville until high school. Roy joined the US Army until he was honorably discharged in 1968. Roy worked on various farms in ND, drove semi-truck several years, worked at the beet plant in EGF, at the elevator in Reynolds. Roy also worked for RDO Foods for 17 years, then to RDO Equipment as parts manager. Roy enjoyed spending time with his family. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He also enjoyed going to auction sales and reading. He liked going dancing and having a good time with his friends. Roy is survived by his mother, Helen; sons, Tim (Tami), Rodney (Holli); brothers, Reynard, Roger (Sandra) and Rodney (Debbie); step-sisters, Karen Schlenvoght, Kristi McFarland, and Kay Ann (Pat) Rarick; grandchildren, Megan, Dylan, Elle, Brittany, Travis, Theresa and Jonathan; great-granddaughter, Kyan; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father Art; son, Jeff; step-father, Elroy; and several aunts and uncles. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Monday, August 30, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. VISITATION: Monday, August 30, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Amundsons. INTERMENT: At a later date, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
