Richard Ault

Richard A. Ault, age 64 of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 in his home. Richard Allen Ault was born on April 17, 1946 in Grafton, ND the son of Mervin and Elva (Fitzsimonds) Ault. He graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1964 then attended UND briefly. Richard married Mary F. Vasicek in 1968 and had one child. He has held a variety of jobs, including Grand Forks Northstar INN, RCA Welding & Paint Supply, Grand Forks Supply Co, Midwest Supply, and since 1991, he took great pride working for the Ramada Inn during the early morning hours. Richard (known to family and friends as Dick or Rich) enjoyed hours spent on the lake with family and friends, fishing, the Minnesota Vikings and UND sports. He adored his many furry companions over the years and the unconditional love of his cat J. J. and newly acquired puppy, Suzie Q. up until the day he passed. Lastly, visits/calls from his grandchildren and family/friends brought a smile to his face every time. He was especially proud of his son's military career in the United States Army. Richard is survived by his son: Chad (Manuela) Ault, Junction City, KS; his grandchildren, Brianna Ault and Joshua Ault; and his sister, Carol (Keith) Blomquist, Menomonie, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
