Dwaine E. Moen

Dwaine Moen, 70, of Grand Forks, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Dwaine was born at Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks on August 3, 1940, the son of James and Adeline Moen. He grew up in the Reynolds area and graduated from Reynolds High School in 1958. Dwaine joined the US Army in Jan. of 1959 and was stationed in Fort Brag in South Carolina and in Poitier, France. He returned home in April of 1962. He married Vicki Martin in June of 1962. In the fall of 1962 went to UND and attended for 1 year. In 1963, he started a sales career for O'Keefe and Bohman. He also worked for Team electronics for 3 years then started his career at Rydell's for 18 years where he won several leadership and top sales awards. He retired in Grand Forks in 1987. Dwaine was a member of the GF Elks Club, East Grand Forks American Legion Post #157, and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Andy Nomland Chapter No. 2. Dwaine is survived by his wife, Vicki; son Bruce A. (Kristine) Moen; daughter, Sherry L. (David) Levenseller; grandchildren, Rachael, James, Ryan, Jennifer, Megan, Trevor (Ashley fiancé), Drew and 3 great-grandchildren. Dwaine was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Richard "R.D." and sister, Darlyne Moen. **Memorial Contributions may be directed to Development Homes Inc. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Amundsons. Visitation will continue for the hour prior to the funeral at Amundsons. INTERMENT: Americus Cemetery in Reynolds, ND.
