Deborah Susan Anderson

Deborah S. Anderson, 55, of Grand Forks, passed away on October 3, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Deborah was born on October 23, 1954, in Idaho, the daughter of Donald & Dorothy (Johnson) Mergenthal. She grew up and attended schools in Texas and North Dakota. Deborah moved to Grand Forks in 1971. She married Donald Anderson on May 9, 1992 in Grand Forks. Deborah worked for Mexican Village, Ramada Inn, she sold Tupperware, and was a homemaker. She was the main care provider for many of her friend's children. Deborah was a very thoughtful person and had a card or gift for all occasions for her friends and family. She put her care for others in front of herself. Deborah loved nature and animals. She also enjoyed camping and fishing. Deborah is survived by her husband, Donald; brothers, Randy (Laurie) Mergenthal and Don (Ramona) Mergenthal; sister, Roxann (Mike) Swehla; grandmother, Gladys Johnson and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents. FUNERAL SERVICES: Saturday, October 9, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service at Amundson's. INTERMENT: Rest Haven Cemetery, East Grand Forks, MN.
