Verna Berg, 87, of Grand Forks, ND died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Verna Lucille Berg was born on August 31, 1923 in Madison, MN. The daughter of Anton and Cora (Quenemoen) Hanson. She graduated from high school in Madison, MN before attending Appleton Business College in Appleton, MN. She then worked for NSP for a short time. Verna married Howard Berg on May 26, 1951 in Madison, MN. They made their home in Grand Forks and Verna worked for UND in the Audio department for ten years. Verna was a very active member of Calvary Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She was involved in many organizations at Calvary including being a Sunday School Teacher, Ruth Circle, Quilting Guild, Thursday Music Club and a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church Women. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandma "Ammie". She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Great Grandchildren: Evelyn and Spencer Drengson ; Makenzie Quirk. She was loved by many nieces and nephews Verna was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Myrtle.
