Elizabeth Breidenbach

Elizabeth M. "Lizzie" Breidenbach, 97, Reynolds, ND died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in Valley Memorial Home Woodside Village, Grand Forks, ND. Elizabeth Mary Linneman was born April 14, 1913 in Reynolds, ND the daughter of Anton and Mathilda (Thiele) Linneman. She was raised and educated in Reynolds and graduated from high school there. Lizzie married Leo Breidenbach on November 7, 1935 in Reynolds, ND. They lived, farmed and raised their family near Reynolds. Lizzie assisted her husband with drilling wells. She would often cut hair for family, friends and priests. She loved to cook and was a talented with sewing and patching clothes. Her grandchildren could do no wrong. Leo Breidenbach died September 24, 1982. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Ann Boutain, Grand Forks, Donna (Bob) Hegland, Grand Forks, Eileen (Dan) Grabanski, Blaine, MN; sons, Bernard (Marie) Breidenbach, Reynolds, ND, Kenneth (Ida) Breidenbach, Casselton, ND, Neil (Joy) Breidenbach, Reynolds, ND; daughter-in-law, Judy Anderson; 28 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; sisters, Clare Scholand, Hillsboro, ND, Gertrude Lange, Devils Lake, ND and Theresa Leddige, Mayville, ND. Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; son, Anthony Breidenbach; grandson, Joshua Breidenbach; son-in-law, Marvin Boutain; sisters, Annie and sister Auxilia; brothers, Joe, Tony, Frank, Bernard and William. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, October 15, 2010 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church of Reynolds, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will continue for the hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery of Reynolds, ND
