Arline E. Mather

Arline E. Mather, 88, of Grand Forks, ND went home peacefully on October 12, 2010 with her children by her side. Arline Elizabeth Mather was born August 31, 1922 in Madison, NE to John and Elizabeth (Wilhelm) Fischer. She was raised and educated in Madison she moved to Carol, Iowa and made her permanent residence in Moorhead, MN where she raised her four children. In 2006, Arline moved to Grand Forks where she resided until it was time where she needed to take her next step in life. She was known as a great Mom, awesome Grandma and a wonderful friend, also a very supportive boss to her four children where they all worked under her at the Moorhead/Fargo Holiday Inn. Arline had made a lifetime of friends who thought the world of her. Her hobbies were bowling, cooking, story/joke telling, fishing and had a very green thumb. Her most favorite part of her life was being with family doing whatever it may be. She is survived by her children H. John (Wendy) Mather, Jean Kingren, Debbie (Nate) Larson, seven grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her sister, JoAnn (Marvin) Pfiefer. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Roxie Ellingson, son-in-law Kirk Kingren, a sister Ella Mae a bother Lawrence and her parents.
