Conrad Tande

Conrad Tande, 92, of Grand Forks, ND died Thursday, November 4, 2010 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND, with his loving family by his side. Conrad L. Tande was born November 18, 1917 in Binford, ND the son of Berndt and Josephine (Larson) Tande. Conrad attended school and was raised in the Binford, ND area. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe under General Pattons Command. After his honorable discharge from the U. S Army he attended the Hanson Mechanical Trade School, Fargo, ND. He married Delores Rickford on April 24, 1950 in Cooperstown, ND. He worked in the maintenance department for public schools until retirement. Conrad loved music and played a variety of instruments. He and Delores wintered in Arizona and Conrad was a member of the Arizona Banjo Band there. They spent many summers at Lee Lake, MN. Conrad is survived by: Wife: Delores Tande - Grand Forks Daughters: Constance (Mike) Greene - Surprise, AZ Cynthia Tande - New Brighton, MN Sister-in-law - Leona Tande - Binford, ND Avis Rickford - Cooperstown, ND Brother-in-law: Kermit (Pat) Rickford - Grand Forks Grandchildren: Christopher (Sandra) Greene, Brandon Greene, Kevan (Patti) Greene, Tom Wilcox, Aliceson (Jesse) Meyer and Keith Wilcox. Great Grandchildren: Marylu Meyer, Lilly Meyer and Rylan Greene. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
