Marlys Jeanette Schneider

Marlys Jeanette Schneider (Smith) Marlys Jeanette Schneider, 61, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Marlys Jeanette Schneider was born October 8, 1949 in Belcourt, ND as Marlys Jeanette Smith the daughter of Bella Rose Lafontaine Smith and Joe Smith. She had a younger brother named Gerald L. Smith a.k.a Jerry Gerald Smith. She spent her earlier years going to school and spending time with family. Her hobbies were sewing and cooking. During her life time she got married to George Schneider, separated from him later on in life, had seven children two of which died at birth. She worked many years at Parkwood Place until she quit in 2006. After that she retired due to health problems. In the last years of her life she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her younger brother Jerry Smith, Grand Forks, ND, husband George Schneider, Orlando, Florida, Special Friend Edward Krese, Grand Forks, ND, Daughter Mary Turpin, Grand Forks, ND, Daughter Candace Schneider, Grand Forks, ND, Son George Schneider, Jr., Grand Forks, ND, Son Adam Schneider, Black River Falls, WI, Christopher Schneider, Grand Forks, ND, and her 10 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Bella Rose Lafontaine Smith and Joe Smith, Uncle Stanley, and her two children Richard and Erica.
