Carol Ruth Ralston

Carol Ruth Ralston, 60, of Grand Forks, ND died peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Carol was born on September 15, 1950 in Pasadena, California the daughter of Dr. Lloyd S. and Ruth "Lillian" (Blakemore) Ralston. She grew up and attended schools in Grand Forks and is a graduate of East Grand Forks Senior High School. She earned her nursing degree from the Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing and was employed for many years at United Hospital (now Altru) in Grand Forks. She was a very caring and excellent nurse and had many friends in the medical profession. Carol also enrolled in Anthropology classes at the University of North Dakota Carol is survived by her mother, Ruth "Lillian" Ralston, sisters Martha (Dr. Steven) Penkhus of Mankato, MN; Lynne (Mike) Greenwood of Maple Grove, MN; and brothers Richard (Nettie) of Seattle, WA; Ross of Grand Forks, ND. as well as one niece and 4 nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Dr. Lloyd S. Ralston and her grandparents. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 319 5th St. South, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church.
