Clayton Enger

Clayton A. Enger, 62, Grand Forks, ND died peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND surrounded by his family. Clayton Allen Enger was born November 14, 1948 in Northwood, ND the son of Clark and Nathalie (Midboe) Enger. He was raised and received his education in the Northwood area. He served his country with the U.S. Army in Vietnam receiving numerous medals for his service. Following his service, he lived in Clifford, Hatton, Cavalier, and Northwood building and managing grain elevators. In 1987, he moved to Grand Forks where he worked many years for Vigen Construction Co. Clayton was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work and gardening. On August 13th, 2010 Clayton married his long time companion Diane Olson, in Grand Forks, ND. Survivors include his wife, Diane Enger, Grand Forks; sons, Bradley (Tracy) Enger, Hatton, ND and Troy (Rhonda) Enger, Northwood, ND; step children, Craig (Cheryl) Olson, Thompson, ND, Curtis (Kris) Olson, Livermore, CA and Denise Olson, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Justin, Garrett, Caleb, Carly, Dylan, Beau, Ashley, Nicole, Jimmy, Cameron, Brandon; great grandson, Russell; mother, Nathalie Enger, Northwood, ND; brothers, Harlan Enger, Northwood, ND and James (Laurie) Enger, Hatton, ND; sister, Kathy (Dennis) Sherva, Northwood, ND. He was preceded in death by his father, Clark Enger, a brother, Larry, and a sister, Loretta.
