David F. Scocchera, 63, Grand Forks, died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at home. David Felix Scocchera was born to Felix and Jane Scocchera on April 23, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was raised and educated in Pittsburgh and also Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He served in the United States Air Force from November 15, 1968 to August 18, 1972. He attended UND for one year majoring in Music. He married Vicki Hanson on October 9, 1972 in Grand Forks. They lived in Grand Forks, and one year in Chicago, IL before returning to Grand Forks. David was a great musician and played in numerous bands but his heart was with Bethany and the Bandits. David enjoyed music, gardening, and cooking in his spare time. David is survived by his parents, Felix and Jane Scocchera, Pittsburg, PA; his wife,Vicki, Grand Forks; sons, Nick Scocchera, Grand Forks, Kevin (Nicki) Wilson, living in Germany; grandchildren, Collin and Tim; 9 siblings; mother-in-law, LaVerne Lindenberger; sister-in-law Wendy (Larry) Sloan; several neices and nephews and special friends Bethany Beiswenger, Jerry Cox and many others. He is preceded in death by a brother and his grandparents. Memorial Services: 7:00 p.m. . Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks.
