Edward Clausen

Edward J. Clausen, 64, Grand Forks, ND died Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Edward John Clausen was born December 28, 1946 in Lady Smith, WI, the son of Clarence "Buck" and Marcia (Applebee) Clausen. He was raised on a farm near Bruce, WI. He graduated from Bruce High School in 1965. Edward enlisted in the U. S. Air force. He served in several places within the United States before coming to Grand Forks where he served as an airplane mechanic. After his service, he worked in construction jobs then worked for 22 years for Pacific Gamble Robinson which became Food Service America. Edward also worked for Grand Forks County until he retired in 2007. Edward was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed waterfowl hunting. He enjoyed watching baseball, basketball and was a great fan of the Green Bay Packers football team. Edward married Colleen Bakke on June 21,1969 in East Grand Forks, MN. She survives along with his son, Corey (Monique) Clausen, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Austin Clausen, Alexis Clausen and Cassandra Clausen; brother, Jeff Clausen, Bruce, WI; sisters, Thelma Stephens, North Carolina, Helen Elaine Dooley, Eau Claire, WI, Margaret Krause, Omro, WI, Beverly (Jerry) Faust, North Manchester, Indiana, Shelly (Tim) Grendahl, Chetek, WI, Sylvia Clausen, Rice Lake, WI and Charlotte Gunderson, Bruce, WI. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Gene Clausen.
