Glayde M. Cory

Glayde M. Cory, 79, of Grand Forks, ND passed away peacefully under the care of Hospice on Sunday, March 13, 2011 in his home. Glayde M. Cory was born September 3, 1931 in Fairview, Montana the son of Maurice and Viola (Glad) Cory. Glayde served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Glayde married Mary Berg. He attended Valley City Teachers College and earned his Bachelor degree there. He attended UND in Grand Forks and earned his Master degree. He worked in the Grand Forks school system as a counselor until his retirement. Glayde's real passion was piano tuning. He tuned pianos for the Grand Forks School system and for SPA in Grand Forks. Glayde is survived by: Wife: Mary Cory - Grand Forks Sons: Scott Cory - Grand Forks Bradley (Laura) Cory - Grand Forks Grandchildren - Claire, Olivia and Jonah He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mark. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 1 to 3 PM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 south 42nd St., Grand Forks. Burial will be at Lancaster, MN in the spring 2011.
