Beverly Wavra

Beverly A. Wavra, 79, Grand Forks, died Friday, April 8, 2011 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Beverly Ann Lilleboe was born at Buxton, North Dakota on February 8, 1932 to Bennie and Clara (Ashiem) Lilleboe. She was raised and educated at Buxton, graduating from high school there. Beverly attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks. She was employed by Nodak Rural Electric Cooperative for over 30 years until retirement. Beverly and Dale Wavra were married for more than 50 years until his death on Mar 15, 2009. Bev enjoyed traveling, music, playing bridge with friends, baking and cooking. She was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children, Jim Wavra, Richfield, MN, and Julie Wavra Cortez (Miguel) and their children, Brandon, Kara, Gianine, and Stacey all of Corona, CA; nephew, Tim Lilleboe (Polly),and their children, E. Lansing, MI; extended family, Sheri Hallgren, Hatton, ND; Scott and Debbie Hallgren, Emerado, ND, and their children; Michael Bjordahl, Minneapolis, MN; Jim & Brenda Sondreal; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, a brother Percy Lilleboe, and sisters, Marlyce Allen and Amy Lilleboe. Memorial Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S. 9th St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour prior to the service in the church.
