Lori A. Carlson, 49, of Grand Forks, ND died Monday, April 11, 2011 in her home. Lori Ann Marynik was born September 8, 1961 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Henry and Gloria (Sannes) Marynik. She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School in 1980. She attended Aakers Business School in Grand Forks and earned her associate degree. Lori also attended the Covenant Bible College in Saskatchewan, Canada. Lori married Craig Carlson on September 3, 1994 in Grand Forks at the Bethel Lutheran Church. She worked as office manager at the Good Samaritan Center in East Grand Forks. Lori enjoyed spending time with her husband Craig and her two children Joshua and Kayla. She also enjoyed playing softball, golfing, knitting, snowmobiling, going to the lake and listening to music. She will be greatly missed. Lori is survived by: Husband: Craig Carlson - Grand Forks, ND Son: Joshua Carlson- Grand Forks, ND Daughter: Kayla Carlson - Grand Forks, ND Parents: Henry and Gloria Marynik - Bemidji, MN Sisters: Cindy Hviding - Crookston, MN Tammy Rintala - Bemidji, MN Father-in-law: David Carlson - Murdock, MN Mother-in-law: Sharon Carlson - Murdock, MN Sister-in-law: Julie (Tim) Brown - Paynesville, MN Nieces and Nephews: Ethan Brown, Seth Brown, Tyler Hviding, Jordan Hviding, Riley Hviding, Isaiah Rintala and Tahlia Rintala. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Frank and Nettie Marynik; Ted and Agnes Sannes. Funeral Services will be Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Bethel Lutheran Church, 1616 17th St. South, Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 PM with a 7PM prayer service at Bethel Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks.
