Lawrence W. "Larry" Juneau, Jr. 57, Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND of complications following brain surgery. Larry, also known as "Rusty" to close family members, was born December 4, 1953 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Lawrence and Cleo (Newquist) Juneau. He was raised mostly in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School in 1971. While attending college at UND, he worked at the university field house. For 25 years he worked at United Hospital (now Altru Health Systems) in Environmental Services and as a Health Unit Coordinator. Following his employment at Altru, Larry worked at Ecolab as a customer service representative. Larry volunteered for the Red Cross, Muscular Dystrophy and Meals on Wheels. Larry had a great sense of humor and a love for people; he was never one to shy away from a good conversation. The pride and joy of Larry's life were his two daughters, Tammy and Sara. Larry married Jean Zetterlund on June 6, 1981 in Jean's hometown of Leola, South Dakota. Following their wedding Larry and Jean lived in Grand Forks, ND. Larry is survived by his wife Jean, and his 2 daughters, Tammy (Keith) Rutherford, Fargo, ND and Sara Juneau, Rochester, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Richard Allen.
