Ruth A. McLean

Ruth A. McLean, 77, of Grand Forks and formerly of Gilby, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 in Country Estates, Grand Forks, ND. Ruth Anderson was born August 7, 1933 in Inkster, ND the daughter of Clarence and Anna (Bogert) Anderson. Ruth grew up and attended school in the Gilby area and graduated from high school there. Ruth married Robert McLean on September 5, 1953 in Gilby, ND. She worked for Agassiz Water for 23 years until retiring in 1998. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and especially attending their sporting events. She was also very involved in the Gilby community and the Wheatfield Township Board. Ruth was an avid card player, Sioux Hockey fan and enjoyed writing poems. She will be greatly missed. Ruth is survived by: Son: Jon McLean - Casper, WY Rob (Wendy) McLean - Gilby, ND Daughters: Michelle (Gerry) Macintosh - Fargo, ND Maggie (Dave) Perkerewicz - Manvel, ND Sister-in-law: Mary Ellen (Bob) Sailor - Aguila, AZ Grandchildren, Jamie (Rhonda Schafer-McLean) McLean, Megan (Dave) Villarreal, Kylee McLean, David Macintosh (Fiancé Jenny Ellinwood), John Macintosh, Suzanne McLean (Fiancé Chet Stermer) and Ryan McLean. Great Grandchild : Riley McLean Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert "Mick" McLean; sister, Helen Matteson; one niece and one nephew.
