Duane R. Knutsvig

Duane R. Knutsvig, 69, of Buxton, ND died Thursday, April 21, 2011 in his home. Duane Randolph Knutsvig was born in Bismarck, ND on October 15, 1941 the son of Orlean and Theoline (Rystad) Knutsvig. He grew up and attended school in Buxton, ND and graduated from high school in 1959. He married Sylvia Frigstad on September 24, 1965 in Grand Forks, ND. Duane worked for Rosholt Construction, Swingen Construction and Bradshaw Gravel. He also worked as a mechanic for American Crystal for 29 years. Duane was enlisted in the National Guard from April 1962 to April of 1968. He served as the Adjutant for the American Legion Post 172 in Buxton and served on the city council for 15 years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing, his birds and squirrels.
