Bernhardt Jose

Bernhardt "Barney" Jose, 79, of Grand Forks, ND died Friday, June 3, 2011 in Valley Eldercare Center, Grand Forks, surrounded by his loving family. Bernhardt Jose was born June 14, 1931 in Zap, ND, the son of Christopher and Emily (Ost) Jose. He grew up and attended school in the Zap area. Bernhardt farmed with his father until entering the US Air Force from 1954 to 1958 when he was honorably discharged. He married Doreen Vollmer on November 27, 1952 in Wing, ND. He owned and operated Central Mobile Home Repair with his son Mike until retirement. Bernhardt is survived by: Wife: Doreen - Grand Forks Son: Steven (Susan) Jose - Grand Forks Daughter: Tina (Matt) Gjertson - Wasilla, AK Daughter-in-law: Karen Jose - Grand Forks Sister: Ella Wiedrick - Pahrump, NV Grandchildren: Krystal, Jeffrey, Eric, Michelle (Matt), Gregory and Nichole. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; brother, Edwin and sister Viola Pfenning.
