Ruth Hallada Stottrup Ruth Hallada Stottrup, 93, Emerado, North Dakota, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Ruth Phyllis Hallada was born to William and Katherine (Dutt) Hallada on March 4, 1918 at Goodrich, North Dakota. She was raised and educated at Goodrich, moving to Grand Forks with her parents at age 12. Ruth Hallada and Leif Stottrup were united in marriage on March 29, 1940 at Grand Forks. They lived in Rural Grand Forks, Manvel and Emerado, North Dakota. She was a member of Emerado Presbyterian Church and the ladies aide. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking and baking. She was interested in listening to political shows and world news. Ruth is survived by her four children, Karen Streifel, Wausau, WI, Sonja Enger, Grand Forks, Howard (Virginia) Stottrup, Cloquet, MN, and Iven Stottrup, Emerado, ND; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd, Benjamin, and Calvin; a sister, Christine. She is preceded in death by brothers, William and Ambrose; a sister, Twyla; and her husband Leif Stottrup who died on May 8, 1975. Funeral Services: will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 in Emerado Presbyterian Church, Emerado, North Dakota. Visitation: one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment: Emerado Cemetery Memorials: are preferred to the Emerado Presbyterian Church.
