Karisti Lynn Kalina

Karisti (Kari) Lynn Kalina passed away at the age of 33 in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, July 2, 2011. Kari was born on February 15, 1978 in Carrington, North Dakota to Joseph and Sharlene Kalina. Kari attended Kelly elementary school, Schroeder middle school and Red River high school in Grand Forks. Through the years, Kari participated in several activities including dance, gymnastics, basketball, track and volleyball. Her vibrant smile and adventurous personality eventually took her to Phoenix, Arizona in 2001 where she excelled in the real estate business. While battles with fibromyalgia afflicted Kari, her love and devotion to family and friends never wavered. Kari is survived by both parents, Joseph Kalina and Sharlene Kalina, as well as four siblings, Brett (Ben Martinez) Kalina, James (Janene) Kalina, Kelly (Emily) Kalina, and Michelle (Steven) Dias. Kari is also survived by 7 loving nieces and nephews, Megan, Abby, Elizabeth, Jacob, Charlie, Sophie, and Jordan. As well as Grandparents Art and Bev Stavens, and several loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Kari will also be greatly missed by Cali and Lacey, her loving pets. Karisti is preceded in death by Grandparents Joe and Ramona Kalina.
