David Wheeler

David M. Wheeler, 74, of Grand Forks, ND died on Thursday, August 18th, 2011 at Maple View Memory Center, Grand Forks. David was born on March 31st, 1937 the son of Ted and Alice (Berg) Wheeler in Marion, ND. He grew up in Buxton, ND and graduated from the Ag School in Crookston, MN in 1956. David married Helen Jore on May 26th, 1959 in Buxton. He worked for many years in the trucking business and later for Altru Hospital and Parkwood Place. David was a fan of auto racing, both sprint cars and NASCAR. Survivors include his wife, Helen; sons: Dave (Carol) Wheeler, Grand Forks, and Brad (Tammy) Wheeler, Des Moines, IA; and eight grandchildren, Jamie, Andi, and JoDee of Grand Forks, Ben, Lucas, AJ and Olivia of Moorhead, MN and Austin of Des Moines, IA. Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Robert, James, and John. MEMORIAL SERVICES: 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Calvary Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. VISITATION: One hour prior to the memorial service at the church.
