Phyllis Jean Blegen

Phyllis Blegen, 83, died peacefully August 18, 2011, surrounded by her loving family in her new home at 4000 Valley Square Woodside Village in Grand Forks. Phyllis Blegen was born on September 4, 1927, in Grafton, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Hilda Larson. She married Sanford Blegen on the family farm near Grafton. The most important things in her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her four children, Wayne (Karen) Blegen, Beverly Blegen, Diane (Marlan) Netterlund and Lorri Moe; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Larson; sisters, Beatrice Amundson and Janice Peterson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sanford; brothers, Noel and Myron; sisters, Joyce, Marilyn and Evelyn. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011, at Calvary Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service at the church. INTERMENT: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
