Helen A. Robinson, 80, Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Thompson, ND, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Helen A. Heazlett was born July 30, 1931 in Glasston, ND the daughter of Thomas and Ludellen (Stafford) Heazlett. She was raised and educated near Glasston and graduated form high school at St. Thomas, ND. She graduated from Mayville State College then taught rural schools in Walsh County, ND. Helen married James Robinson on November 27, 1952 at Fairmont, ND. They lived and farmed in St. Thomas, ND and later at Thompson, ND. Helen worked for J.C. Penney Co. and at the UND Bookstore. She also helped with planting and harvesting of potato crops. She worked in the prosthetic department of UND before going to work for the Thompson Farmer's Elevator where she was employed more than 20 years before her retirement in 1996. In her retirement Helen enjoyed making afghans for family members Survivors include her children; Jacque (Tom) Brockling, Grand Forks, Jay (Barb) Robinson, Thompson, ND and Shelli (Larry) Schuster, Edinburg, ND; grandchildren, Amber, Andrea, Angela, Austin, Jayson, Dustin, Vanessa and Cobie; three great grandchildren, Donavan, Mia and Kinsey; sisters, Norma Rittal, Grand Forks and Beverly (Gerry) Oby, Rice, MN. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1999; brothers, Warren, Frank, Dale, John and Richard and by a sister, Marian. Memorial Services willbe 11:00 AM Saturday, September 3, 2011 in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church of Thompson. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND. Burial will be in the Thompson Cemetry of Thompson, ND
