Dana T. Grow, 59, of Grand Forks passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2011 as a result of an automobile accident near Devils Lake, North Dakota. Dana Grow, the son of Mary and Francis Grow was born in Lockport, New York on April 4, 1952. Dana had an extensive educational background. He attended Allegheny College in Pennsylvania where he received his B.A. in Chemistry. He went on to earn his Masters Degree in Chemistry at Ohio State University and then his Doctorate at the University of Illinois. He taught Chemical Engineering at UND in Grand Forks until 1991 when he accepted a position at Sioux Manufacturing in Devils Lake as Manager of Research and Development, and was employed there until his death. He married the love of his life, Debbie Olson on August 7, 1987 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. They recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary. Dana's passions in life were watching sports, taking his dog Odie for walks, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed his job at Sioux Manufacturing and the people he worked with. He was also very proud of being a member of AA for the past 27 years. He was a kind, soft-spoken man with a delightful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Debbie, of Grand Forks; his mother, Mary, of Jamestown, New York; his brother, John (Jennifer) of Sherburne, New York; one niece; several nephews; and his beloved dog Odie. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 in Sharon Lutheran Church, 1720 S. 20th St., Grand Forks. Visitation: will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks and for one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment: will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
