Dell Weisert

Dell D. Weisert, 78, Grand Forks, died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at home. Dell was born to Edward and Theresa (Sandvig) Weisert on November 12, 1932 in Grand Forks. He attended Belmont School in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School in 1950. Dell was employed by the Grand Forks Herald for 42 years, retiring in 1995. Dell was a member of United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks and an avid volunteer in the community. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dell is survived by a brother, Tracy Weisert and his fiancée, Barbara Poppe, Grand Forks; nieces, Theresa and Diane; nephew, Arthur Poppe III; and a special friend, David Chambers. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Raymond, and a niece, Debbie Weisert. Funeral Services: will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation: will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment: will be in Grafton Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton, North Dakota.
