Aaron Wayne Betzen

Aaron Wayne Betzen, 34, of East Grand Forks, MN died Saturday, October 15, 2011 in his home. Aaron W. Betzen was born in Thief River Falls, MN on March 22, 1977 the son of Timothy and Holly (Blaine) Betzen. He was baptized at St. Clements's Catholic Church in Grygla, MN. He attended pre-school at the Grygla Elementary school, and moved with his family to Fertile, MN in 1985. Aaron graduated from Fertile-Beltrami High School in 1997. In 2008, he moved to a Lutheran Social Service assisted-living home in East Grand Forks, MN and attended the local DAC. Aaron was a fun-loving guy. He loved to play games; basketball, bowling, pool, darts and fishing. Music was a great solace in his life and he loved to dance. He was quiet, but his sly smile and good nature helped him make friends easily wherever he went. Aaron is survived by his parents, Tim and Holly Betzen of Fertile, MN; sister, Alicia (Courtney) Moore, East Grand Forks, MN; niece and nephew, Neve and Tate Moore; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Theresa Blaine; his paternal grandfather, Arnold Betzen; aunt, Ruth and uncle Joel Downy and three baby cousins. May he rest peacefully. His memory will live on.
