Doris Marian Carlson

Doris Carlson, 82, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks. Doris was born February 2, 1929 to Ole & Bertina (Langseth) Bjerke in Grand Forks, ND. She attended school in Mekinock, ND. Doris married Duane Carlson on July 3, 1949 and lived and worked on the Carlson farm. She was a member of the Mekinock Ness Lutheran Church. In January of 2009, she went to live at St. Anne's Guest Home, where she truly loved it. Doris is survived by her brother, Ormand (Marian) Bjerke and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Duane and brother, Elroy. Private Family Memorial Services will take place on Wednesday, October 26. Interment will take place at Ness Lutheran Cemetery in Mekinock.
