Alexander Hoidahl

Alexander D. "Alex" Hoidahl, 21, Williston, North Dakota and formerly of Grand Forks,North Dakota, died at Trinity Hospital, Minot, North Dakota on Sunday, October 30, 2011 as the result of a work-related automobile accident. Alexander David Hoidahl was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 23, 1990. He attended school at Williston, North Dakota and moved to Grand Forks at age 8. Alex attended Lake Agassiz Elementary, Valley Middle School and Central High School,graduating in 2008. Two days after his high school graduation he left to work in Williston, North Dakota,most recently for Noble Casing Company. He enjoyed fishing, X box games, played football, and was a member of the wrestling team, Debate Team and traveled to the National DECA conference. Alex was employed by Subway and the Dairy Queen in Grand Forks during his high school years. Alex is survived by his parents, Tawnia Hoidahl-Larsen and Leif Larsen, Grand Forks; a brother, Nick Hoidahl, at home; step-siblings, Thomas and Lily Larsen, Grand Forks; grandparents, Faye and David Horn, Williston, North Dakota; step-grandpents, Bob and Karen Hoffman, Bemidji, MN; Aunt, Nicole (Paul) Burtman, and their children, Sophie, Sam, and Maren, Wildrose, North Dakota; Step aunt, Holly Terveen and her children, Ali, Isaiah, and Maddy, Apple Valley, MN; Step Uncle, Lance (Chrissy) Larsen, and their children, Michael and Hunter, Palmer, Alaska; Close family friends, Rob and Lisa Howard, and Tori Taylor; and Best Friend, Josh Tanner. Memorial Services: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 in University Lutheran Church, 2122 University Dr., Grand Forks, North Dakota. Visitation: will be 5 to 7 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. Prayer Service Friday, November 4, 2011 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks, and for the hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
