Albert L. "Al" Lindemoen, 95, Grand Forks, North Dakota, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Albert Lester Lindemoen was born to Peter and Alma (Nelson) Lindemoen on February 23, 1916 at Rural Stephen, Minnesota. He attended country school near Stephen, and worked on the family farm. Albert Lindemoen and Irene Frederick were united in marriage on October 20, 1935 at Argyle, Minnesota.Al worked as a heavy equipment operator in road construction in several states. He served in the US Army during World War II, stationed in France and Belgium. Upon discharge from the military he farmed at Manvel, North Dakota, worked at the Tvinnerman Elevator, and later began employment for Bridgeman Creamery, working there until he retired in 1978. Al loved visiting with his family and friends, enjoyed traveling, fishing and walks to the park with his great grandchildren. Al is survived by his wife of 76 years, Irene Lindemoen, Grand Forks; children, Gary (Jill) Lindemoen, Pelican Rapids, MN, Judy Behm, Grand Forks; Dennis (Karen) Lindemoen, Minneapolis, MN, Avis (Bill) Reynolds, GrandForks, and Terry Lindemoen, Fargo; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lola Mae Beaudry, Argyle, MN; a brother, Jack Sundby, Pelican Rapids, MN; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers, and 3 sisters.
